Summary: By using Lampway you agree to use it only for personal and family devotional use, not to abuse it or try to break it, and to understand that we provide the app as-is. We don't charge for the core app today; if we add paid features in the future, we'll give you clear notice first. Scripture texts are licensed separately by their publishers and you may not redistribute them outside the app.

Lampway is operated by Zeno One LLC, a California limited liability company. You can reach us at support@onelampway.com.

2. Accepting these Terms

By creating a family account, completing onboarding, or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you are setting up an account that includes other family members (especially children under 13), you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of each person whose information you add, and that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Reflections, journal entries, prayer requests, gratitude notes, and discussion responses you enter belong to you. We store them in your family's private account so they sync across your devices; we don't train models on them, sell them, or share them outside your family account. If you delete your family account, we remove your content from active databases within 30 days (periodic backups are purged on their normal retention cycle).

The app itself—its design, code, curriculum structure, quiz content, summaries, discussion prompts, and artwork—is our property or licensed to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for devotional purposes. You do not get the right to copy, republish, modify, or create derivative works from our non-Scripture content.

The core app is free to use at launch. If and when we introduce paid features or subscriptions, pricing and cancellation terms will be presented clearly before you are charged, and these Terms will be updated to describe them. We will not charge you retroactively for anything that was free when you used it.

9. Availability and changes to the app

We provide the app on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee the app will always be available, free of bugs, or compatible with every device. We may change features, add new ones, or retire old ones. We aim to give reasonable notice for changes that would meaningfully affect how you use the app, but we don't guarantee advance notice for every change.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and may request full deletion of your family account via the Privacy Policy's Section 9 process. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (for example, accounts used to harass others or to abuse security controls). If we terminate for cause, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you why.

11. Disclaimer

Lampway is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The app is a devotional tool, not a substitute for pastoral care, professional counseling, or medical advice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the app, your content, or your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you and we agree to resolve them in the state or federal courts located in California, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to your home-jurisdiction courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app or the law. If changes are material (for example, introducing paid features, expanding data collection, or changing dispute-resolution terms), we will notify you in the app or by the recovery email you provided, and give you a reasonable opportunity to review before continuing. Continued use after the effective date of the updated Terms means you accept them.
